Colleen and Place Making
Today I was responsible for bringing Colleen the Tea Pot to an event in the city. We have invited city workplaces adjoining Pitt St to join us for a cuppa and conversation. We were launching the street art some of our staff and friends have created.
We had twenty or so city types turn up for a chat including David Bailey – Senior Policy Planning Guru at Adelaide council and UCA member).
The project was in collaboration with Adelaide City Council which is running a “Place Making Strategy”. In our case we are on a thoroughfare from the Train Station to the Adelaide Central Markets. Come and have a look at the street art some of our staff and friends have created.

I was amazed at the number of people who stopped and had a goosey gander at Colleen the Tea Pot. I had quite a number of conversations with people who would normally just walk by (head buried in mobile phone).
This was my Corolla’s first tow – so we set out early to make sure all went well.
